Depends on the type of video you are watching, mplayerplug-in is quite good to
have, as it will support all the video formats that mplayer does. If you want
to use flash and watch low quality flash movies, then you need the flash
plugin, whcih for example can be downloaded from adobe (keep in mind, adobe
don't support 64bit operating systems).
