Hi NG,

in the moment we are using the following configuration:
- Dell PowerEdge 2950
- SuSE Linux 9.3 (x86-64)
- Quantum external SDLT-600 streamer
- Tapeware 7.00 SP7D
- Adaptec 3960D Ultra160 SCSI adapter

Now we need a streamer with more capacity.

We want to change to:
- openSUSE 11.0
- QUANTUM Superloader3 LTO-4 HH 1/16 2U LVD SAS 12.8 / 25.6 TB

Questions:
1.) Which software would you recommend?
2.) Which controller (SAS) shall we take (LSI?)?
3.) The "Backup Exec Quickstart" is provided with the Superloader. Is this a
linux version, too?

Or do you have totally different combinations in use?

Thanks for any answer and greetings from germany,

Bernd.
